Gates MegaSys MXT-XTP is a universally applicable hydraulic hose, using the company's patent-pending steel wire braiding technology.

According to the company, its weight is 25% lighter than traditional hoses, making it easier to lift and carry. In addition, the flexibility of the MXT is increased by 49%, allowing faster and more ergonomic installation. Verified by an 800-hour ozone exposure test, the optional XTP protective sleeve has increased abrasion resistance and enhanced ozone resistance by 25 times.

Gates said that the MXT-XTP hose meets or exceeds the relevant ISO, SAE and EN performance standards, has passed the MHSA flame-retardant certification, and has passed the SAE J1754 certification when used with the company's MegaCrimp fittings.
